Past Intern Experiences

FAMILY LIFE

Interns are a huge asset to our Family Life Center and everything we do to promote family well-being both locally and beyond. As pictured here, they help plan details for our annual Family Life Conference. Interns assist in community outreach and marketing for our Family Life Center programs and services, including marriage & family therapy and family life coaching. They may also become a Certified Family Life Coach through our online, 6-month course, for a discounted student rate.

Case Management

Interns will be certified as case managers to work under our organization. After appropriate training, interns will work directly with our addiction recovery clients as another support person during their recovery journey. Case managers assist clients in basic logistics for getting their lives back in order after incarceration and/or substance abuse. This may include securing new driver's licenses, Social Security cards, resumes for employment, or applying for education. Case managers also support clients in setting and achieving goals that align with their treatment plan, as well as simply checking in to see how they are doing. Interns may also be invited to help facilitate Psychoeducation classes.
